At Veritas Academy we practice deep thinking, careful reading, Socratic discussions, and mastery of concepts.
We prefer to meet in person with a focus on community and small class size, but when faced with a pandemic this spring, we were able to pivot to online classes because of the commitment of our teachers.
Our faculty are experts in their field and teach at Veritas because of their love of teaching, learning, and classical education. You won’t find dry textbooks or a lot of internet-based content here. We study classical literature, real stories from history, fascinating truths about the world around us, and Christ-centered content in every classroom.
Carefully following the safety guidelines and mandates of the State of Ohio, and backed by the prayers of many, we will welcome students back to the building this fall. However, if the mandates or guidelines for schools were to change, Veritas Academy is ready to provide a safe and educationally satisfying virtual environment. Last spring, while other schools floundered with work packets, poor accountability, and even ended the year early, our families enjoyed a rich learning experience and reported top-notch test scores.
We give God praise daily for each of you, and are so very grateful for the Veritas administration and teachers who have overcome so many unusual obstacles through this COVID-19 season.
While it’s no doubt there has been much hard work, deliberation and countless hours spent prior to implementing a classroom solution, in addition to maintaining structure, it certainly appeared seamless to transition from a physical classroom to a virtual learning environment. That is no easy task—KUDOS to all! The dedication, commitment and resilience Veritas has shown through this time is nothing short of commendable.
We couldn’t be more pleased that the Lord has sent us to be part of the Veritas Community for such a time as this! Please know that your labor is not in vain. Thank you for all that you are doing to support the educational needs of our children. -Carla K.
The teachers’ commitment to excellence was obvious during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not a beat was missed as they moved from in-person classes to an online format. The integrity of the education was maintained throughout. -Scott N.
