Mr. George DeLancey
George DeLancey was raised in Cambridge, Ohio. He began his career in music as a teenager, going on to study jazz bass at Michigan State University, and was an eight-year veteran of the New York jazz scene before returning to Ohio. He has released three critically acclaimed albums and worked with many of the leading figures in jazz music. He has performed at jazz venues in nearly every major city in the United States and continues to maintain a busy schedule performing in Columbus and throughout the Midwest, as well as teaching private lessons, and composing and arranging professionally.
He resides in Cambridge with his wife, Megan, who is an accomplished trombone and French horn player as well as a board-certified music therapist. They are members of St. Benedict Church where they can be heard performing with the choir on Sunday mornings.
