Mrs. Alison Kovac
Alison Kovac is a committed follower of Jesus Christ, a wife of thirty years, a mother of three young adults, and a lifelong learner. Whenever time permits, Alison likes to kayak, camp, cook, write poetry, and study geography.
Alison and Marc Kovac home-educated their three children from birth through middle school / early high school until Alison began teaching school full-time in 2019. An M.A.-degreed historian, Alison also holds an undergraduate degree in literature and history with a minor in humanities.
Alison first ministered to homeschoolers at Linworth Road Academy (now Linworth Homeschool Ministry). Then she became an affiliate of the classical Christian home-education movement and directed/tutored for Classical Conversations Hilliard Campus between 2012 and 2015. In 2016, Alison joined Veritas Academy as an administrative assistant and then taught English for 7th and 8th graders at Veritas for two years.
Since 2019, Alison has gained full-time educational experience teaching English and history courses for middle school and high school students at Madison Christian School and teaching a full-time kindergarten class at Shepherd Christian School. No matter the level of learning, Alison is inspired by children’s God-given ability to grow and is motivated to help them understand and respond to their Creator and Savior.
Ephesians 2:8-10: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
