Born in communist Romania, Gina Evans came to the United States in 1990 after the revolution, and thanks to a full scholarship from Liberty University was able to study Mathematics there, graduating with a BS in Mathematics (Magna cum Laude). She continued her studies at Ohio State University, getting two Masters degrees, one in Nuclear Engineering and another in Applied Statistics. She had the privilege of receiving a fellowship from the Department of Energy and did a three month practicum at Oak Ridge National Lab, where she met Jeff, her husband of 27 years. Together they adopted Theodora from China, and Gina has devoted the last nine years to homeschooling her. She has taught undergraduate students while in graduate school; also she has tutored and helped with the homeschooling co-op at her church, Grace OPC. It is her desire to pass on a love of learning and excellence to her students, so that together they can grow in the knowledge and enjoyment of God.
