Mrs. Merideth Eshelman
Merideth Eshelman is an accomplished performer, conductor, and educator with extensive experience in both jazz and classical music. She began studying double bass in seventh grade at the encouragement of her orchestra teacher and later earned a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from Indiana University. Her professional work includes performing with a range of ensembles, including the Tony Hagood Trio, Olivia Van Goor Quartet, PBJ and Jazz Big Band, Vine and Root Jazz Duo, Worthington Chamber Orchestra, New Albany Symphony, and many other groups.
In addition to her performing career, Merideth is an active educator. She has conducted the New Jersey Honors Orchestra, served as a clinician for the Richard Davis Young Bassists Conference, collaborated with Columbus Children’s Theatre, taught in public schools, and currently teaches at Veritas Academy and Jazz Academy while maintaining a private studio. She also proudly homeschools her wonderful children.
