Mrs. Hawthorne graduated with honors from Eastern Michigan University. She has been married to her husband Jay for 25 years, five of which were spent working together in full-time ministry. Martha enjoys spending time with children and has eight years of experience teaching across the curriculum in a classical homeschool organization. Her work included overseeing many science experiments! In addition, the Hawthornes have homeschooled their children for the last 16 years.

Martha is a lover of nature and can often be found outdoors exploring local trails, reading, or working in her garden. She looks forward to sharing the wonders of God’s great world with the students at Veritas Academy.
