Kim’s love of teaching began in her teen years, tutoring in math and teaching swimming. She observed wonderful teachers at Wheaton college near Chicago where she graduated Cum Laude in math education. This focus continued in an M.A. program at OSU, designed specifically for mathematics teachers, and then she taught all the high-school math courses at Tree of Life Christian Schools. Kim loved being home with their three children for 18 years, and for the past eleven years she has been teaching math part-time at Otterbein University.

Her favorite part of teaching is the challenge of presenting a clear and enjoyable lesson. She is especially excited to encourage excellence in mathematics at Veritas and to find ways to integrate faith in the classroom.

Kim has been married to David for 36 years. They have three grown children, Lydia, Micah, and Josiah. Kim and David have been active at Northwest Chapel in Dublin for more than 30 years. Kim enjoys cooking, visiting her kids and grandkids, small-group Bible study and walking disc-golf courses with David.
